Billing & Collections Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Billing & Collections Specialist to support our practice on a part-time, remote basis (approximately 10 hours per week).

This role is focused on accounts receivable follow-up, insurance communication, and patient billing support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, persistent with insurance follow-up, and confident communicating with patients regarding balances. Initial training will be done in office, and once comfortable will transition to a remote position.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on denied and outstanding insurance claims
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and secure payment
- Submit corrected claims and supporting documentation as needed
- Make outbound patient collections calls and answer billing questions
- Review accounts receivable and prioritize follow-up activities
- Document all actions clearly in practice management system
- Collaborate with internal team to ensure accurate billing and timely resolution

Qualifications
- Strong experience working with insurance companies and claim denials
- Comfortable making patient collection calls in a professional, respectful manner
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote role
- Medicare experience strongly preferred, including understanding of coverage requirements, documentation, and claim follow-up
- Experience with DME billing (e.g., oral appliance codes such as E0486) is a plus

Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time: ~10 hours per week
- Flexible schedule
- Hourly rate: $23-28 (depending on experience)

Licensed Dental Assistant Position
For this position, our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate and able to communicate effectively with patients, providers and the team.

The Dental Assistant position is full-time (4-5 days a week), offering competitive pay based on qualifications and eligibility for benefits.

Job Summary
The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing patients with high quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory and patient care duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcoming and rooming patients
- Take and record vitals
- Review patient health and sleep histories
- Create chart/progress notes in EMR
- Take X-rays
- Take dental impressions and scans
- Assist with the deliver and fitting of oral appliances
- Home Care review and Patient Consent forms
- Follow up with patient concerns
- Lab work as needed
- Attend morning meeting with providers to discuss daily schedules
- Assist dentists in clinic as needed
- Strictly adhere to infection control standards, staying current with changes as they occur


X-Ray certification OR MN Dental Assistant License Required

Job Type: Full-time/in office
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
